November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election
The City of Half Moon Bay will hold a general municipal election for City Council District Nos. 2 and 3 to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Information for Voters
All-Mail Ballot Process
- All registered voters will be mailed a ballot starting October 7
- Mail, drop off at a ballot drop box, or drop off at Vote Center
- If you do not receive a ballot, you can request one from the County or pick one up at any Vote Center in the County
Vote Centers / Ballot Drop Boxes
- 11-Day Vote Center (Emergency Operations Center, 537 Kelly Avenue) open October 26 to November 5
- October 26 to November 4: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- November 5: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voter Registration / Conditional
- Regular voter registration deadline is Monday, October 21
- Conditional voter registration allowed up to the day of the election on November 5
- At a Vote Center, you can register to vote by filling out a paper form or by filling out an online form. You will be given a provisional ballot that will count once your eligibility is verified.

The City Clerk serves as the Elections Official for Half Moon Bay, and conducts regular and special general municipal elections in consolidation with the County of San Mateo for the election of City Council members and local initiatives, referendums, and recalls. City Council members are elected at-large to four-year, overlapping terms, without term limits.
