Building, Planning and Public Works Inspections

All inspections are scheduled online through Cloudpermit. To start, create your Cloudpermit account by visiting https://ca.cloudpermit.com/login Follow the instructions in the online videos below. If you have trouble with any of the steps, please call us at 650-726-8270 or come into City Hall to use the Cloudpermit terminal with help from staff.

NOTE: For Permits Issued Prior to February 7, 2025, and for inspections not listed in your online permit, schedule Inspections as follows:

Inspection Times and Days

• Monday through Thursday  Mornings: 8 am - noon  Afternoons: Noon - 3 pm 
• Fridays (morning only): 8 am - Noon

Pre-Inspection Requirements

Prior to scheduling a final inspection, obtain final approval from all other applicable departments. Please make sure the following items are submitted to the Building Department:

• Business License
• Construction and Demolition Recycling Form (PDF)
• Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide Handout (Residential Only) (PDF)
• Building Department Home Page with new updates (as of May 1, 2020)

Hours of Construction

Work is only allowed to be preformed during these hours:

• Monday through Friday 7 am to 6 pm
• Saturday 8 am to 6 pm
• Sunday and Holidays 10 am to 6 pm
