Code Enforcement

The City of Half Moon Bay operates as a complaint-based Code Enforcement system. Any observed life safety issues will be addressed proactively and immediately. Any community member who believes there is a code violation may file a complaint through the complaint portal.  When filing a complaint please provide detailed information about the violation as well as contact information in the event additional information is required. Complainants have the right to remain anonymous when the Community Preservation Specialist inspects the violation and will not divulge any information regarding who reported the violation.
